Pony Jorgensen is an iconic American brand that has been a staple in woodworking workshops for over a century. Founded in Chicago in 1903, the brand began with the Adjustable Clamp Co. and gained fame for inventing the handscrew clamp and the ubiquitous pipe clamp. For generations, these tools were manufactured in the United States, earning a reputation for high-quality ductile iron and carbon steel components.
In 2017, the brand underwent a significant transition when it was acquired by GreatStar Industrial. Following this acquisition, production for many of the brand's standard lines moved to China to leverage global manufacturing efficiencies. However, the brand maintains its engineering standards and continues to produce select high-end components and specialty items in the USA. Today, Pony Jorgensen is positioned as a premium professional tool brand under the umbrella of a global power tool giant, maintaining its heritage of orange and black tools while expanding into international markets.
