Choví is a renowned Spanish food brand, particularly famous for its signature Allioli (garlic mayonnaise). The brand's history began in 1950 in Benifaió, Valencia, where the Choví family started a small grocery business that eventually specialized in Mediterranean sauces. The product is iconic for its yellow mortar-shaped packaging, which pays homage to the traditional way of preparing the sauce.
All production remains centralized at the company's modern facilities in Benifaió, Spain. This ensures that the traditional recipe, characterized by its intense garlic flavor and creamy texture, maintains high quality using locally sourced ingredients. Choví has expanded significantly over the decades, now exporting to over 30 countries while maintaining its identity as a Valencian family business.
Today, the brand is owned and managed by the second generation of the Choví family through Grupo Choví. The company continues to operate as an independent entity, recently expanding its portfolio by acquiring other food companies like Jotri to consolidate its position in the Spanish food market.
