Tretorn is a historic Swedish brand founded in 1891 by Johan Dunker in Helsingborg. While the brand is world-renowned for its heritage in tennis—notably the legendary Nylite sneaker popularized by Björn Borg—it is equally famous for its high-quality rubber boots and waterproof outerwear. The company has a long history of innovation, including the creation of the pressureless tennis ball.

Today, Tretorn functions as a global fashion and sports brand. While its design and heritage remain deeply rooted in Sweden, manufacturing is carried out in various global locations, primarily in Asia, to meet international demand. The brand has transitioned through different ownership structures over the decades, including a period under the Puma SE umbrella, before being acquired by the New York-based brand management firm Authentic Brands Group.
