Tulipán is a prominent margarine brand that was originally established in Spain during the 1940s. It became one of the first and most recognizable brands of vegetable-based spreads in the Spanish market, representing a shift toward alternative fats in household kitchens. For decades, it was synonymous with family breakfasts and industrial innovation in Spain.

Originally part of the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever, the brand underwent a significant ownership change in recent years. In 2018, Unilever sold its baking, cooking, and spreads division to KKR, leading to the creation of Upfield. Today, Upfield owns Tulipán as part of its global portfolio of plant-based brands. Production is distributed across various European facilities to serve local markets, maintaining its historical position as a staple in Spanish households.
