Parodontax is an internationally recognized oral hygiene brand specializing in gum health. Originally developed by the German dentist Dr. Focke in 1937, the brand was initially based on a formulation containing sodium bicarbonate. For many decades, it was part of the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) consumer healthcare portfolio.
Following a corporate demerger in 2022, Parodontax is now owned and operated by Haleon, a global leader in consumer health. Haleon was formed as a joint venture between GSK and Pfizer before becoming an independent listed company. While the brand has its roots in Germany, manufacturing occurs in various global locations, including facilities in Europe (such as Slovakia) and the UK, to supply international markets.
