Jarritos is an iconic Mexican brand founded in 1950 by Don Francisco 'El Güero' Hill. Originally a chemist, Hill first experimented with a coffee-flavored carbonated drink before finding massive success with fruit-based flavors, starting with Mandarin. The brand's name, 'Jarritos,' refers to the traditional clay 'little jugs' used in Mexico to keep fruit-flavored punch cool, which inspired the brand's distinct green and orange logo.
Today, Jarritos remains deeply rooted in its Mexican heritage. All production takes place within Mexico using 100% natural cane sugar and fruit sourced from various Mexican regions, including the company's own mandarin groves in Yucatán. The brand entered the International market in 1988 and has since become one of the most recognizable Mexican exports globally.
The brand is owned and operated by Novamex, a company formed through the partnership of the Hill family and the Fernández family. Novamex focuses on the production and distribution of authentic Mexican brands throughout the United States and other international markets, ensuring that the original recipes and manufacturing standards established in the 1950s are maintained.
