Santa Carolina is one of Chile's most historic and prestigious wineries, founded in 1875 by Luis Pereyra Cotapos. The brand was named in honor of his wife, Carolina Íñiguez. This specific 'Carolina Reserva' Pinot Noir is produced in the Aconcagua Costa region, a terroir known for its maritime influence which is ideal for cultivating cool-climate varieties like Pinot Noir.
The winery has remained a cornerstone of the Chilean wine industry for over a century. Today, it is the flagship brand for Viña Santa Carolina, which is owned by the Watt’s S.A. group, a significant Chilean conglomerate specializing in food and beverages. The production process is centralized in Chile, utilizing traditional winemaking techniques paired with modern sustainability practices to export these wines to global markets including Denmark.
