Scoot is a prominent low-cost carrier based in Singapore, primarily operating out of Changi Airport. Launched in 2012, it was established by Singapore Airlines to address the growing demand for medium and long-haul budget travel. The brand is well-known for its vibrant yellow livery and more relaxed, playful brand personality compared to its parent company.

In 2017, Scoot merged with Tigerair, another budget subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, which significantly expanded its fleet and regional short-haul network. This consolidation allowed the brand to operate under a single operator's certificate and offer a more seamless travel experience across Asia, Australia, and Europe. Today, the airline utilizes a modern fleet consisting of Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Airbus A320 family aircraft.

Ownership of Scoot remains entirely under the Singapore Airlines Group. As a key strategic asset for the group, Scoot serves a specific market segment, ensuring that the parent company maintains a dominant presence in both the luxury and low-cost aviation sectors.
