Carefree is a globally recognized brand in the personal hygiene sector, specializing in panty liners and feminine wipes. The brand was first introduced in 1976 by the American personal care giant Johnson & Johnson, aimed at providing women with daily freshness options outside of their menstrual periods. It became a household name due to its focus on comfort and discrete protection.
In recent years, the brand underwent a significant ownership change. As part of Johnson & Johnson’s strategic reorganization, their consumer health division was spun off into an independent company called Kenvue. As of 2024 and beyond, Kenvue is the ultimate owner of the Carefree brand. Production is decentralized, with manufacturing facilities located in various regions including North America, Europe, and Asia to serve local markets effectively.
