Historically, the brand was part of the Australian Tissue Co. and subsequently Kimberly-Clark. However, in modern corporate restructuring, the brand has transitioned between several international owners. Since 2011, Sorbent has been part of Solaris Paper, which is a subsidiary of the Indonesia-based International Paper Group (Asia Pulp & Paper).
