Barker's of Geraldine is a premier food producer known for its high-quality fruit-based products. Founded in 1969 by Anthony and Gillian Barker on their family farm in Geraldine, South Canterbury, New Zealand, the brand originally built its reputation by creating Elderberry wine. Over the decades, the business expanded significantly to include a wide range of jams, fruit syrups, chutneys, and condiments.

The brand is synonymous with its New Zealand heritage, maintaining its primary production facility on the original family farm site in Geraldine. This local manufacturing approach allows them to source many of their ingredients from the fertile surrounding regions of the South Island.

In 2015, Barker's was acquired by the French family-owned group Andros, a global leader in fruit processing and chilled dairy. Despite this international ownership, Barker’s continues to operate as a distinct entity with its management and manufacturing remains rooted in New Zealand, serving both the domestic market and export markets like Australia.
