Norlender Knitwear is a traditional Norwegian brand specializing in high-quality wool sweaters, cardigans, and accessories. Founded by Nils Tveiten in the late 1920s, the company has its roots in a small textile factory called Svanedal Ullvarefabrikk. Since its inception, the brand has remained a family-owned enterprise, maintaining its commitment to preserving Norwegian knitting traditions and utilizing natural fibers.

Every piece of Norlender clothing is primarily manufactured at their facility in Hosanger on the island of Osterøy, just north of Bergen, Norway. By keeping production local, the brand ensures strict quality control and supports the regional textile industry. The designs often feature classic Nordic patterns, including the famous Setesdal and Marius-inspired motifs, making them iconic representations of Scandinavian heritage.

Today, the brand continues to operate under the ownership of the Tveiten family, specifically through the company Norlender Strikkevarefabrikk AS.
