Blundstone is an iconic Australian brand with a legacy dating back to the late 19th century. Founded in Hobart, Tasmania, the company has built a global reputation for its durable, functional, and stylish 'Chelsea' style pull-on boots. Historically, the brand's identity is deeply rooted in rugged workwear and durability, moving from safety and uniform gear into mainstream lifestyle fashion.

While the brand remains headquartered in Hobart, Tasmania, and continues to manufacture its specialized PVC safety boots at its Australian factory, the majority of its lifestyle and leather product manufacturing was shifted to overseas facilities in 2007. Currently, most of the boots are produced in Vietnam and Thailand, where the brand maintains significant oversight to ensure quality standards. Blundstone remains a family-owned enterprise, retaining its heritage and independent status under the ownership of the Cuthbertson family, who have been stewards of the brand since its acquisition in the 1930s.
