Mokate Coffee and Tea

Mokate is one of the most prominent family-owned business empires in Central and Eastern Europe. The brand's history dates back to 1927 in Ustroń (then Poland), where the Mokrysz family initially operated a general store and colonial goods business. The modern era of the company began in the early 1990s under the leadership of Teresa Mokrysz, who transformed the local firm into an international beverage powerhouse by introducing instant cappuccino to the Polish market.

Today, Mokate operates three major production plants located in Ustroń and Żory, Poland, as well as Votice in the Czech Republic. The brand is a leader in the coffee and tea segments, exporting its wide range of products—including the popular Loyd tea brand and various coffee whiteners—to over 70 countries worldwide. The company remains under the control of the founding Mokrysz family, now in its fourth generation of management, maintaining its status as a private Polish enterprise with significant global reach.
