Rennie is a well-known brand of antacid tablets used to treat heartburn and indigestion. The brand's history dates back to the 1930s when it was developed by John Rennie in the United Kingdom. It has since grown into a globally recognized solution for digestive discomfort, known primarily for its peppermint-flavored chewable tablets.
Over the decades, the brand underwent various ownership changes, eventually becoming part of the Roche portfolio. In 2004, the German pharmaceutical giant Bayer acquired Roche's over-the-counter (OTC) business, which included the Rennie brand. Today, Rennie is manufactured primarily in France at Bayer's specialized facilities, though it is distributed and marketed by local subsidiaries across the world, including in the United Kingdom and Europe.
