Over the years, it grew from a small startup into one of Europe's leading e-commerce platforms for outdoor enthusiasts, known for its deep technical expertise and high-quality product selection.

In 2013, the brand was acquired by US-based outdoor giant Backcountry.com, which helped scale its operations internationally while maintaining its core German logistics and customer service. However, in a major strategic shift in late 2023, the brand was sold to the French sporting goods heavyweight Decathlon.
