Teufel (Lautsprecher Teufel GmbH) is a prominent German manufacturer specializing in audio equipment. Founded in 1979 by Peter Tschimmel in Berlin, the company originally gained fame by selling high-quality loudspeaker DIY kits. Over the decades, it transitioned into a leading direct-to-consumer brand, bypasssing traditional retail to offer high-performance audio systems at competitive prices.

While the brand's heart remains in Berlin, where all research, development, and engineering take place, the physical manufacturing of its products is primarily outsourced to specialized facilities in China. This global supply chain model allows the company to maintain its rigorous German engineering standards while scaling production for the international market.

Ownership has evolved through several private equity hands. After being owned by Riverside and HgCapital, the brand was acquired by the French private equity firm Naxicap Partners in 2018.
