Hostinger is a globally recognized provider of cloud web hosting and domain registration services. Founded in 2004, the company was initially established as a 'bootstrapped' venture in Kaunas, Lithuania, under the name 000webhost.com before rebranding to Hostinger in 2011. Since its inception, the company has scaled significantly, catering to millions of users across more than 170 countries.

The service's 'manufacturing' or infrastructure is digital, relying on a distributed network of data centers located across the globe. Hostinger maintains server locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Indonesia, Brazil, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and France to ensure low latency and high availability for its international client base. Unlike many competitors that rely purely on third-party cloud infrastructure, Hostinger develops its own custom control panel (hPanel) and optimization tools.

Ownership of Hostinger remains largely private and centralized within its original founding ecosystem. However, a significant minority stake was acquired in 2021 by a consortium of institutional investors including Certares Management and Knighthead Capital. Despite these investments, the company remains headquartered in Kaunas, Lithuania, and maintains its status as one of Europe's fastest-growing technology brands, driven by an employee-owned business model and aggressive international expansion.
