Tretorn Sneakers and Outdoor Footwear

Founded in 1891 by Johan Dunker in Helsingborg, Sweden, Tretorn began its journey as a manufacturer of high-quality rubber products. The brand gained international fame for its iconic rubber boots and its expansion into tennis footwear, most notably the 'Nylite' sneaker which became a favorite of tennis legends like Björn Borg in the 1960s and 1970s. This heritage positioned Tretorn as the second oldest sneaker manufacturer in the world.

Today, Tretorn has transitioned through several ownership structures. After being owned by the PUMA Group for several years, the brand was acquired by Authentic Brands Group (ABG) in 2015. While the brand maintains its Swedish design roots and a strong focus on sustainability through its 'Eco Essentials' initiative, the majority of its manufacturing is now outsourced to specialized factories across Asia, particularly in China and Vietnam, to serve a global market.
