The brand, formerly known as Total Quartz, was rebranded as TotalEnergies in 2021 to reflect the company's transformation into a broad energy company focused on sustainability and carbon neutrality.

The product is manufactured in numerous locations worldwide to serve different regional markets. TotalEnergies operates several blending plants across Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Specifically for the Mexican market, the products are often produced locally at their blending facility in San José Iturbide, Guanajuato, or imported from their major industrial hubs.
