Santal is a premium brand of fruit juices and nectar originally founded in Italy. It was created by Parmalat, a company that became a global leader in the dairy and functional beverage sector. Today, Santal remains a key part of the Parmalat family. However, the ultimate ownership of the brand lies with the French multinational Lactalis, which acquired a majority stake in Parmalat in 2011 and completed the full takeover thereafter. While the brand has deep Italian roots and significant production facilities in Italy to supply the European market, its global presence means manufacturing and distribution may occur across multiple international sites under the Lactalis Group umbrella.
