Chico is a historic motor yacht with a rich maritime history dating back to the early 20th century. Originally built in 1932 by the renowned boat builders J. N. Miller & Son at St Monans, Scotland, it was launched under the name Frebelle III. The vessel has a distinguished pedigree, once having been owned by Sir Malcolm Campbell, who renamed it Blue Bird.
During World War II, the boat was requisitioned by the British Admiralty and renamed Chico, the name it predominantly carries today. It played a heroic role in Operation Dynamo, the evacuation of Allied soldiers from Dunkirk. Following the war, the vessel transitioned through various civilian owners, serving as both a private leisure craft and a commercial charter vessel. Today, it operates primarily as a luxury charter yacht on the west coast of Scotland, maintaining its status as a registered National Historic Ship.
