Ownership of the brand transitioned to Unilever, a British multinational consumer goods company. While the brand has its roots in Belgium and Denmark (via Frisko), it is currently produced in numerous facilities worldwide, including major hubs in Germany, the United Kingdom, and various regional plants across Europe and North America to serve local markets. In 2024, Unilever announced plans to spin off its ice cream business into a separate entity by 2025/2026, though it currently remains the ultimate owner.
