Terry's Chocolate Orange is a historic British confectionery brand originally founded in York in 1767. Its most iconic product, the ball of chocolate flavoured with real orange oil, was launched in 1932. This particular seasonal product features an Easter egg format containing 'minis' with popping candy (exploding candy) and is made with the brand's signature real orange oil.
While the brand's identity is deeply rooted in English heritage, its manufacturing has shifted over the decades. Following the closure of the famous Terry's factory in York in 2005, production was moved across Europe. Today, Terry's Chocolate Orange products are primarily manufactured in France at the Carambar & Co factory in Strasbourg. Since 2017, the brand has been under the ownership of Eurazeo, a French investment firm, which manages it through various subsidiaries specializing in nostalgic confectionery brands.
