Ziploc is an iconic American brand of reusable, resealable zipper storage bags and containers. The brand's history dates back to the 1950s when the concept of the plastic zipper was first developed, originally marketed for heavy-duty industrial use before transitioning to the consumer market. The brand has undergone several ownership changes over the decades. It was pioneered into a consumer product by Dow Chemical in the late 1960s.
