Korunní is a traditional Czech brand of mineral water with a history dating back to the late 19th century. The water is sourced from a protected groundwater source in the Doupovské Mountains near Stráž nad Ohří. Known for its balanced mineral content, it is popular in both still and carbonated forms, as well as various fruit-flavored variants like the lime and mint version shown here.
The brand has undergone several ownership changes in the post-communist era. Historically associated with the Karlovy Vary region, the brand and its production facility (Karlovarská Korunní s.r.o.) were eventually merged into a larger beverage group. Today, it is part of the Mattoni 1873 group, which dominates the non-alcoholic beverage market in Central Europe. The group is controlled by the Italian Pasquale family, who have transformed the local producer into a regional powerhouse through the acquisition of various brands and bottling rights for international products like Pepsi and Schweppes.
