Sportlife is a widely recognized brand of sugar-free chewing gum, particularly prominent in the Dutch and Nordic markets. The brand was originally launched in 1981 by the Dutch confectionery company Maple Leaf, based in Amsterdam. Known for its iconic rectangular packaging and intense mint flavors, it was the first brand to introduce functional chewing gum in a "blister" pack in the Netherlands.
Over the decades, ownership of the brand transitioned through several corporate hands. Today, Sportlife is owned by Cloetta AB, a leading Swedish confectionery manufacturer. While historical manufacturing was rooted in the Netherlands, modern production is distributed across Cloetta’s manufacturing sites in Europe, primarily in locations such as Slovakia and Italy, to serve the international market.
