Today, the brand is owned by the Cloetta Group, a leading confectionery company in Northern Europe. While the product was invented in Sweden and maintains a strong heritage there, most of Cloetta's modern liquorice and sugar confectionery production has been centralized in their factory in Levice, Slovakia, to serve the international market and ensure production efficiency.
