Jura Single Malt Scotch Whisky is produced on the remote Isle of Jura in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. The distillery was originally founded in 1810 by Archibald Campbell, though it fell into disrepair and was eventually closed for several decades. It was rebuilt in 1963 by local landowners Robin Fletcher and Tony Riley-Smith to revitalise the island’s economy.

The American Bourbon Cask edition is part of the brand's 'Cask Editions' range, specifically matured in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels to impart notes of vanilla and coconut. While the brand has deep heritage and is quintessentially Scottish, its modern commercial success is driven by its current global ownership.

Today, Jura is owned by Whyte & Mackay, which is a major subsidiary of Emperador Inc., a multinational spirits company headquartered in the Philippines. This ownership structure represents a significant investment from the Southeast Asian market into traditional Scotch whisky production, expanding the brand's reach to over 100 countries globally.
