The image displays a smartphone that features the distinctive capacitive navigation buttons (triangle, circle, and square) and design language typical of entry-level Positivo devices, a major Brazilian technology brand. Positivo Tecnologia was founded in 1989 in Curitiba, Brazil, initially to manufacture computers.
Today, Positivo is one of the largest computer and electronics manufacturers in Latin America. While many of its internal components such as processors and screens are sourced from specialized manufacturers in China and Taiwan, the final assembly and localized software integration are primarily conducted at its industrial plants in Brazil, notably in the Manaus Free Trade Zone and Curitiba. The company remains an independent Brazilian corporation, publicly traded on the B3 stock exchange, and is the ultimate owner of its namesake brand.
