Coco di Mama is a prominent British-born fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in Italian-style pasta and specialty coffee. Established in 2011 in London, the brand was founded by Jeremy Sanders and Daniel Land with the goal of providing high-quality, quick-service Italian food to city workers and commuters. Its menu features a variety of pasta dishes, including classics like carbonara and beef ragu, alongside sourdough baguettes and premium coffee.
Over the years, the brand transitioned from a solely brick-and-mortar operation to a massive nationwide footprint through a network of delivery kitchens. This expansion was significantly accelerated after the brand was acquired by its major investor. Today, Coco di Mama operates dozens of physical locations in London while utilizing over 150 delivery points across the United Kingdom through its parent company's infrastructure.
The brand is currently owned by the Azzurri Group, a leading UK-based hospitality investment company that also manages other well-known Italian-themed chains. In late 2020, during a period of corporate restructuring, the investment firm TowerBrook Capital Partners took a majority stake in the Azzurri Group. This partnership ensures that Coco di Mama remains a staple of the UK's casual dining scene, backed by international private equity capital while maintaining its local headquarters in London.
