Founded in 2004 in the Bavarian Alps, the brand was inspired by a perfect winter day in the Swiss village of Maloja, which gave the company its name and its 'Soul in the Woods' philosophy.

Production is balanced across several locations to ensure high technical standards. While much of their development and design happens at their headquarters in Rimsting, Germany, the actual manufacturing is conducted in multiple countries, primarily within Europe (such as Bulgaria) and Asia, depending on the specific textile requirements like GORE-TEX integration or seamless knitting.
