Finish is a globally recognized brand specializing in automatic dishwashing products. Originally developed by the American company Economics Laboratory in 1953, the brand was created to address the specific needs of the then-emerging domestic dishwasher market. Over the decades, Finish became a pioneer in the industry, introducing the first biological powder in 1969 and the iconic dual-layer tablet in 1995.
Manufacturing for Finish products occurs in multiple locations worldwide to serve global markets, with significant production facilities located in Europe (such as Poland and Germany) and North America. The brand's presence in Canada is particularly strong, often marketed as the top recommended brand by dishwasher manufacturers.
Today, Finish is owned by Reckitt Benckiser (now simply Reckitt), a British multinational consumer goods company. Reckitt acquired the brand as part of its purchase of the consumer goods division of Economics Laboratory (which became Ecolab) in 1987. Under Reckitt's ownership, Finish has continued to innovate with high-performance formulas like the Quantum Ultimate tablets shown in the image, which combine powder, gel, and the signature Powerball liquid center to clean and protect glassware and cutlery.
