Compeed Blister Cushions

Compeed is a world-renowned brand specializing in hydrocolloid wound care technology. The brand's origin dates back to the mid-1970s when it was developed by a Danish engineer working for Coloplast. The technology was inspired by advanced wound dressings used in hospitals, adapted specifically for consumer use on blisters and corns.

For many years, the brand was part of the Johnson & Johnson portfolio, which helped establish its global dominance. However, in 2017, the brand was acquired by HRA Pharma. Subsequently, HRA Pharma was acquired by the American consumer healthcare giant Perrigo Company plc in 2022. Today, while the ownership lies with an American multinational, much of the specialized manufacturing remains rooted in Denmark, where the original hydrocolloid technology was perfected.
