Steinburg is an private label brand synonymous with the Spanish multinational supermarket chain, Mercadona. Despite its German-sounding name intended to evoke brewing heritage, the brand was established specifically for the Spanish market to provide a budget-friendly lager option.

Ownership of the brand resides with Mercadona S.A., though the product is not manufactured by them directly. Instead, production is outsourced to various established breweries across Europe. Historically, a significant portion of Steinburg beer has been produced by the French brewery Champigneulles and the Dutch brewery Bavaria (Royal Swinkels), as well as Spanish providers like Font Salem. This multi-country production model allows the brand to maintain its competitive price point while ensuring high volume supply for its extensive retail network.
