The brand is currently owned by Orkla, a Norwegian industrial conglomerate that acquired the company through various mergers and acquisitions involving the Norwegian group and Procordia Food. Today, Göteborgs Kex operates under the Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Sweden division, maintaining its heritage as a staple of Swedish fika culture despite the international ownership and production shifts.
