The Margrethe bowl is a quintessential piece of Danish design, originally launched in the 1950s. Named after the Danish Queen Margrethe II, with permission granted by the royal court, it was designed by Sigvard Bernadotte and Acton Bjørn in Copenhagen. The bowl became famous for its practical design features, such as the pouring spout, handle, and non-slip ring.
Historically manufactured in Denmark, production expanded globally as the brand grew. Today, Rosti products are part of the Mepal Rosti Group's heritage, with manufacturing occurring in various locations including Asia and Europe to satisfy global demand under the ownership of the Dutch company Mepal and the Danish distributor F&H Group.
