Migros Papier-Taschentücher are premium 4-ply recycled tissues produced under the house brand of Migros, Switzerland's largest retail company. These tissues are known for their sustainability, being made from 100% recycled fibers, aligning with the brand's long-standing commitment to environmental responsibility.
The brand was founded in Zurich in 1925 by Gottlieb Duttweiler and has grown into a powerful federation of cooperatives. Most of its paper products, including these pocket tissues, are manufactured locally within Switzerland, often by Migros's own industrial subsidiaries like Mibelle Group or ELCO, ensuring high quality and a low carbon footprint for the local market.
Today, Migros remains a cooperative owned by over two million Swiss citizens. It operates as a vertically integrated retailer, meaning it not only sells but also manufactures a significant portion of its brand-name goods, maintaining strict control over the supply chain and production standards.
