Briogeo is a high-performance, clean haircare brand founded in 2013 by Nancy Twine in New York City. The brand was inspired by Twine's grandmother's homemade beauty recipes and a desire to bridge the gap between 'natural' and 'effective' hair solutions. Briogeo is known for its '6-Free' philosophy, ensuring products are formulated without sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates, DEA, or artificial dyes.
Following its rapid growth in the prestige beauty market, particularly through retailers like Sephora, Briogeo was acquired in 2022 by the global beauty conglomerate Wella Company. While the brand maintains its headquarters in New York and continues to manufacture primarily in the United States, it now benefits from the global distribution network and technical resources of its parent company.
