Jergens is a long-standing American brand originally founded in 1882 by Andrew Jergens Sr. and Charles H. Geilfus in Cincinnati, Ohio. It became well-known for its unique cherry-almond scented soaps and later transitioned into a premier skin care brand specialized in moisturizers and lotions.
Today, Jergens is owned by the Kao Corporation, a major Japanese chemical and cosmetics conglomerate. While the brand has global distribution, its products are still significantly manufactured in the United States, particularly at facilities in Cincinnati, to serve the North American market. The 'Ultra Healing' line is one of their flagship products, formulated with vitamins C, E, and B5 to treat extra dry skin.
