Menz is a historic Australian confectionery brand, most famous for its 'FruChocs' and 'Crown Mints'. Founded in 1850 in Adelaide, South Australia, the brand has become a cultural icon within the region, originally starting as a bakery and grocery business before specializing in sweets and snacks.
Throughout its long history, the brand has undergone various ownership changes. In the late 20th century, it was owned by global giant Nestle until the Robern company acquired it in 1992, forming the entity known today as Robern Menz. This acquisition returned the brand to local South Australian ownership. The company continues to manufacture the majority of its iconic products at its facility in Glynde, South Australia, maintaining a strong heritage-driven identity while expanding its portfolio to include older Australian favorites like Violet Crumble, which it acquired in 2018.
