Ballerina Original biscuits

Ballerina is one of Sweden's most iconic biscuit brands, best known for its circular shape with a characteristic nugat-flavored filling and a hole in the middle. The brand was launched in 1963 and has since become a staple in Swedish households, widely recognized by its red and yellow packaging.

Originally created by the Swedish company Göteborgs Kex, the brand's production moved from Kungälv, Sweden, to Latvia in recent years as part of a manufacturing consolidation. Despite the move in production, the brand remains deeply rooted in Nordic fika culture.

The brand is currently owned by the Orkla Group, a Norwegian conglomerate that acquired Göteborgs Kex as part of its expansion into the Nordic snacks and confectionery market. Orkla remains the ultimate owner, managing the brand through its Orkla Confectionery & Snacks division.
