Terry's Chocolate Orange is a iconic British confectionery brand with a history dating back to 1767 in York, England. Originally created by the Terry’s of York brewery and confectionery company, the 'Chocolate Orange' shape we recognize today was first introduced in 1932. Through the decades, it has become a cultural staple, particularly in the United Kingdom around the festive season.

Historically manufactured in York, production was moved to continental Europe following several corporate acquisitions. After being owned by Kraft Foods and later Mondelēz International, the brand is currently owned by Carambar & Co, a French confectionery group. Production for the majority of the Terry's line, including the Exploding Candy variant shown in the image, is primarily carried out at the Carambar & Co factory in Strasbourg, France.
