Buffet Crampon Clarinet

Buffet Crampon is the world's leading manufacturer of professional clarinets. Founded in 1825 in Paris by Denis Buffet-Auger, the company later expanded under Jean-Louis Buffet and Zoé Crampon, establishing a legacy of craftsmanship in Mantes-la-Ville, France.

The clarinet shown features the iconic golden logo stamps on the bell and joints, indicating a high-quality woodwind instrument. Most of their professional models, such as the R13 and RC, are handcrafted using premium African blackwood (Grenadilla) and silver-plated keywork.

Today, Buffet Crampon remains a French company under the ownership of private equity firm Equistone Partners Europe since 2012. While they have expanded production for student models to Germany and China, their professional woodwind line continues to be manufactured primarily in France.
