Sensodyne is a globally recognized leader in oral care products specially designed for individual with tooth sensitivity. The brand was originally developed in the United States by Block Drug, based in Brooklyn, New York. Its success was built on the use of active ingredients that help desensitize the nerves in teeth, making it a staple for dental health professionals worldwide.
In 2001, the brand was acquired by the British pharmaceutical giant GSK (GlaxoSmithKline). Following a major corporate restructuring in 2022, the consumer healthcare division of GSK was spun off into a new independent entity known as Haleon. Sensodyne now sits as one of the flagship brands in the Haleon portfolio.
Today, Sensodyne products are manufactured in various locations globally to meet international demand, with major production facilities located in the United Kingdom, United States, and Asia. Haleon continues to manage the brand's development and distribution from its global headquarters in Weybridge, United Kingdom.
