Le Petit Marseillais is a renowned French personal care brand that draws its identity from the ingredients and lifestyle of the Provence region. The brand was originally created in the early 1980s by Bernard Lengellé, inspired by traditional soaps sold in the markets of Marseille. It quickly became a household name in France, known for its evocative scents and Mediterranean heritage.

In 1995, the brand was acquired by Laboratoires Vendôme, which was subsequently purchased by the American multinational Johnson & Johnson in 2006. As of 2023, following a major corporate restructuring, the brand became part of Kenvue, a dedicated consumer health company spun off from Johnson & Johnson. While the brand maintains its French identity and manufactures the majority of its products in France, its distribution and corporate management are handled on a global scale through Kenvue’s international network.
