Maribel is a private-label brand exclusively established by the German discount giant Lidl. It was created to provide high-quality pantry staples, particularly jams, honey, and nut spreads, at competitive prices for the European market.

Because Maribel is a house brand, it does not operate its own factories. Instead, Lidl sources the production from various large-scale food processors across Europe, most notably in Germany and the Netherlands. The brand is a core part of Lidl's strategy to offer premium-tasting alternatives to national brands, maintaining strict quality control over its ingredients and manufacturing processes.

Ownership of the brand belongs entirely to the Schwarz Group, one of the world's largest retail corporations. Since its inception, Maribel has grown into a well-known name across Europe, synonymous with Lidl's successful private-label model.
