CUCA is a prestigious Spanish brand specializing in gourmet canned seafood, particularly known for its offerings from the Galician estuaries (Rías Gallegas). Founded in 1932 by the Pita family in Vilagarcía de Arousa, it has built a reputation for high-quality, artisanal processing of sardines, mussels, and tuna.
In 2008, the brand was acquired by the major Spanish seafood group Conservas Garavilla. Later, in 2015, Conservas Garavilla (and subsequently CUCA) became part of the Italian multinational Bolton Group. Today, the products are primarily manufactured in Spain, maintaining traditional methods that align with the brand's premium market positioning.
