Mildison Lipid is a corticosteroid treatment used for mild skin conditions such as eczema and solar dermatitis. The brand was originally developed by the Dutch pharmaceutical company Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical, which later merged with Fujisawa to form Astellas Pharma.
In 2018, most of Astellas Pharma's dermatology portfolio, including Mildison, was acquired by LEO Pharma. While the brand has its roots in Japanese-Dutch corporate mergers, it is currently owned and managed by LEO Pharma, a Danish pharmaceutical giant. Manufacturing typically takes place at specialized dermatological production sites across Europe, notably in Italy, to serve the international market.
