MISP (Malware Information Sharing Platform) is an open-source software solution designed for collecting, storing, distributing, and sharing cyber security indicators and threats. Originally created by Christophe Vandeplas at the Belgian Ministry of Defence, it has evolved into a global collaborative project.
Today, the brand and technical development are primarily managed and supported by the Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg (CIRCL). As an open-source project, it does not have a traditional corporate owner but is governed by its community of contributors and the CIRCL organization. It is widely used by governments, financial institutions, and security companies worldwide to exchange threat data efficiently.
